Prof. Beckett G. Cantley consults with CPA firms, law firms, and financial planning firms regarding their individual, family, business owner, and business entity clients in matters relating to Taxation, Captive Insurance Companies, Trusts & Estates, Corporations, Partnerships/LLCs, Probate and Probate Litigation, and International Business Transactions. Prof. Cantley served as a law professor at various law schools from 2002-2015. He currently teaches International Taxation at Northeastern University’s Masters in Taxation Program.

Prof. Cantley has authored numerous published articles at top tier journals, including several authoritative articles focusing on the current and future IRS strategy for attacking IRC 831(b) captive insurance companies. He advises clients on compliance matters in the subject areas his articles address. His unique perspectives in this area derive from his twenty years plus career researching, publishing, and speaking on legislative and administrative tax, insurance, and financial topics, including the current and future potential direction of Federal legislation and IRS compliance. He is ranked in the top 10% for all-time downloaded articles on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN).

Prof. Cantley graduated from University of California – Berkeley (undergrad), Southwestern University School of Law (cum laude), and obtained an LLM in Taxation from the University of Florida.

Geoffrey C. Dietrich, JD

Geoffrey C. Dietrich, JD

Geoff Dietrich focuses his practice on Tax Compliance for complex transactions, and consults nationally with CPA firms and financial planning firms on specific aspects of client needs in the areas of the Taxation, Asset Protection, Business Planning, Trusts & Estates, and Probate and Trust Administration. As the Firm’s Managing Partner, Geoff oversees the firm’s business and professional relationship development, financial, and compliance matters. 

Mr. Dietrich graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point), then obtained his J.D. degree from Brigham Young University Law School where he served as Managing Editor of the BYU Law Review. Geoff is licensed to practice in Texas and Utah and is a member of the American Bar Association. Geoff is admitted before the Utah Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. 

Geoff is also a combat veteran—having served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Infantry in Kuwait and Iraq. In his spare time, Geoff has competed in both Half and Full Ironman Triathlons and enjoys competing in open water swim events.
